Gilbert Blythe and Anne Shirley Cuthbert marry and move to into their new house-“Anne’s House of Dreams,” as they lovingly name it. The first glimpse of Anne’s new home was a delight to the eye and spirit-it looked like a big, creamy seashell stranded on the harbour shore.
Anne was delighted to be the third bride occupying this delightful house, as they enjoy their bliss as a newlywed couple.
She was the perfect wife and homemaker and soon converted the little white house into a home–the home to many a beautiful friendship-Captain Jim, Cornelia Bryant, Leslie Moore, and Owen Ford-became a vital part of this house of dreams.
